| When It Rains It Pours |
It has been a good month: We have a bunch of different projects going – on the woodturning side Andrew finished up the pair of new large live edged pendants (they just need some oil), we have a large order of bowls that he is working on turning out now that we have all the blanks cut and dry, as well as a couple of small custom orders to work on. For the woodturning classes, we had another successful Intro To Woodturning class with a couple that are new to woodworking. And on the kiln side we had a local customer that dropped off a huge load of black locust that they milled up from dead trees on their property. To top it all off, we are prepping (and getting stoked for) the Skagit Wood Expo on April 6th and 7th! Bring it on April! |

| Like many of you, we have kids and we want them to fall in love with woodworking as much as we have. Jonathan Katz-Moses recently posted an article with strategies, safety steps and potential projects to do with kids in the shop that we think is solid – check it out: |
| In The Kiln |
| We had a customer drop off a huge load of black locust this month, and we are loving it! It motivated us to get our butts in gear and set up the steel racking that finally gives us the vertical storage that we need – look how pretty it is! Luckily, most of the slabs are of similar thickness, length and moisture content so we should be able to batch through them pretty quickly. We are booking May-June runs now so let us know if you have a load or a slab you’d like to get dry! Give us a call at (425)312-3885 or email us anytime to get on the schedule. |
