Keeping Busy Keeps You Warm |
Being stuck inside isn’t so bad when you have a kiln to keep you warm and piles of wood to keep you busy. Andrew continues to experiment and create gorgeous pieces for our new lighting line (gotta love that orange glow when they’re lit – see below), we are wrapping up the prototype phase for a side table and can’t wait to share the pictures (stay tuned for next month) AND in the meantime we have new students joining us in the shop regularly for our Intro to Woodturning and Bowl Making classes! It’s busy and we love it! |

We Will Be At The Skagit Wood Expo & Marketplace, Will You? |
There is a very cool woodworking expo coming to town on April 6th-7th, the 2nd annual Skagit Wood Expo & Marketplace at the Skagit County Fairgrounds! We are excited to announce that we will have a booth and be giving a talk on kiln drying and the urban logging industry. We hope we’ll see you there! |

Rusty Equipment Sucks |
We all deal with rust in the shop here in the PNW so when the Wood Whisperer put out his review of a new product that could be a good system to treat and prevent rust we were all ears – check it out! |

In The Kiln |
Another easy month for us with a mix of cedar, maple and sycamore slabs – no jigsawing necessary this time! We are booking spring runs now so let us know if you’d like to throw some slabs in! Give us a call at (425)312-3885 or email us anytime to get on the schedule. |
Got questions about how the kiln process works? Check out our FAQs page, cost calculator or contact us with any questions – we’re happy to help! |
