Kiln News – October 2023
October Has Us Like…What? |
We have been going a million miles a minute over here this month and now the month is just…over? The good news is, whether we felt it pass or not, we have some things to show for it: Just in time for (pre) Holidays – we have new products in the store! Check them out and we will be adding more over the next few weeks, so check in when you can. After furious re-organizing, the Shop has never looked better (except maybe before we moved in lol) Next step? Open House! We will send out invites to everyone once we have the date set. We have a target date of opening woodworking classes in January 2024!We are getting our ducks in a row and will be scheduling students starting soon. Stay tuned! |
We Love Yew Guys… |
Some of our biggest partners in this crazy endeavor to try and reclaim as much urban wood as possible are Tree Services. This last week, Puget Sound Tree Care based out of Camano Island gave us a call when they were hired to remove a big ol’ yew that was damaging a roof. The tree was carefully and expertly removed, and we were able to recover a whole bunch of beautiful wood. Thank you Puget Sound Tree Care – you guys rock! |
In The Kiln |
Right now we have maple slabs and lumber taking up the majority, a big stack of fir and cedar rounds, and a very pretty spruce tabletop all in the kiln. We are unloading on Wednesday! and still have some room in the next run. Get your wood dry for your winter projects now! Give us a call at (425)312-3885 or email us anytime to get on the schedule. |
