Kiln News – May 2023
What’s that you say? Free Wood?? |
In the flurry of activity that is the constant state here at Urban Log Studios, we make a lot of byproducts – namely cutoffs, shavings and wood that has cracked too badly to be usable. What you may not know is that we give that sh*$ away for free. Right now we have one load of wet firewood, and two large loads of dry cutoffs and chunks that can be used as firewood that we are happy for someone to take off our hands. And we practically have an endless supply of shavings – let us know if you’re interested |

Custom Orders & Sorticulture! |
Andrew finished up the exceptional yew lamp and jumped right into the next custom order – three behemoth twig pots (see picture above)! These babies range between 18-24 inches tall, and the largest one weighs around 40 pounds. Good golly, our customers have some exceptional taste! And of course, Sorticulture! is coming up in downtown Everett, from June 9th – 11th. The nesting bowls are getting their final sand, the mortar and pestles are getting finished up and Alexis is contributing some garden themed woodburns to boot – we can’t wait to see everyone there! |
In the Kiln |
We have a mixed bag in the kiln this month – a bunch of different sized slabs of cedar, a healthy amount of maple, box elder, black locust and cherry. And to top it all off a honking box elder burl cookie.Looks like we should be unloading in the next few days and we do have some room open for the next load – so if you’re ready to rock and roll give us a call to schedule at (425)312-3885 or email us anytime. |
