| It’s April, but we ain’t fooling around: Everything goes in the kiln at $2 per board foot! You heard that right, doesn’t matter how thick the piece is, if it’s over an inch thick we will get er’ dry for $2 a board foot. |

| Bowls Within Bowls Within Bowls As we mentioned in our last newsletter, Urban Log Studios recently added the Bowlsaver Max 4 Coring System to its arsenal of tools – and boy has that baby been put to work. So far Andrew has cored out eleven sets of nesting bowls, getting used to the blades and working through some of the kinks with Woodcut Tools (who provided impeccable customer service btw). We will be sharing the video on his experience but in the meantime, check out the first finished set below: |

| A good mix in the kiln this month. A big load of cedar with some fatty slabs. One of our customers came to us with a good sized load of holly which is interesting for being almost white when worked. We had some nice straight pieces of sycamore and box elder thrown in as well and a ton of bowl blanks to get dry so added a rack of them to the back of the load too. We are running an April special this month where everything runs at $2 a board foot, so if you have some thick pieces lying around now would be the time to get them dry!
